Delete Your Account

Overview

You have the right to permanently delete your Ohga account and all associated data at any time. Account deletion is irreversible — once completed, your data cannot be recovered.

We provide two ways to delete your account: directly within the app (recommended) and via email request.

Delete Your Account in the App

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Ohga app:

  1. Open the Ohga app and go to Profile (tap your avatar in the top-left).
  2. Tap Settings (gear icon).
  3. Scroll to Account and tap "Delete Account".
  4. Review the deletion summary — this lists all data that will be permanently removed.
  5. Confirm by sliding the "Slide to Delete" control — this high-friction confirmation ensures you cannot accidentally delete your account.
  6. Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:

  • Personal information — name, email, profile photo, date of birth, fitness profile
  • Health and fitness data — workout history, exercise logs, personal records, program progress
  • Nutrition data — meal logs, food photos, nutrition scans, water intake history, meal plans
  • Focus and wellness data — breathing sessions, focus timer history, mood journal entries
  • Goals and habits — all goals, habits, streaks, challenge history, achievement progress
  • AI interactions — all chat history, AI memory, personalization data, coaching context
  • Social data — friend connections, activity feed posts, reactions, challenge invitations
  • Account credentials — authentication tokens, linked social accounts (Google, Apple), device sessions
  • Subscription data — entitlement records (active subscriptions managed by Apple/Google are cancelled separately — see below)
  • Wearable data — synced health metrics from connected devices

Active Subscriptions

Important: Deleting your Ohga account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To avoid continued charges:

  • iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Ohga → Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Go to Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → Ohga → Cancel Subscription

We recommend cancelling your subscription before deleting your account. If you delete your account while a subscription is active, you will not be charged again after the current billing period ends, but the subscription must still be cancelled through your device's store to prevent renewal.

Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, contact us at:

Include the email address associated with your Ohga account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days, as required by applicable data protection regulations.

Data Retention After Deletion

After account deletion:

  • Immediately deleted: All personal data, health data, AI memory, social connections, and user-generated content are permanently removed from our active systems and authentication provider.
  • Backup retention (up to 30 days): Encrypted backups may retain fragments of deleted data for up to 30 days before automatic purging. This data is not accessible or usable during this period.
  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g., "X users completed workouts this week") are retained for product improvement but cannot be linked back to your identity.
  • Legal obligations: Transaction records required by tax or financial regulations may be retained in anonymized form for the legally mandated period.

Third-Party Data Deletion

When you delete your Ohga account, we also delete or anonymize your data from the following third-party services:

  • WorkOS (authentication) — your identity record is permanently deleted
  • RevenueCat (subscriptions) — your subscriber record is anonymized
  • Sentry (crash reporting) — user context is cleared from future reports
  • AI providers — we do not store persistent user data with AI service providers; session data expires automatically
