Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is guided lying relaxation that eases stress and wind-down—useful between workouts and bed, but not a substitute for full nightly sleep.

Yoga nidra is a guided lying practice that cycles body awareness and breath—sometimes called yogic sleep—aimed at deep relaxation without full sleep. Sessions of twenty to forty-five minutes can lower perceived stress and support evening wind-down when meditation feels too active.

It is not a replacement for nightly sleep blocks.

Common questions

  • Can yoga nidra replace sleep?

No—it supplements relaxation. You still need sufficient nightly sleep for memory, hormones, and physical recovery.
