Strength Warm Up Template

Strength warm up template moves from light cardio to dynamic moves to ramp sets on the first lift—under fifteen minutes, every session.

Strength warm up template flows general to specific: five to eight minutes brisk walk or bike, dynamic leg swings and arm circles, then two to four ramp sets on the first lift—empty bar, forty percent, sixty percent, working weight for beginners. Sweat is optional; joint readiness is not.

Skip static long holds before heavy squats unless prescribed for mobility limits. Keep total warm-up under fifteen minutes so fatigue does not eat working sets.

Same template every session builds ritual and faster setup.

Common questions

  • Do beginners need foam rolling before lifting?

Optional—dynamic movement and ramp sets matter more. Roll tight areas if you like, but do not replace ramp sets with ten minutes on a roller.
