Oura Activity Score

Oura activity score tracks movement goal balance and inactivity—distinct from strain—and should be read beside readiness, not alone.

The Oura activity score rewards meeting daily movement goals while penalizing inactivity and, for some users, excessive sedentary stretch—not the same as cardiovascular strain. It incorporates steps, inactive alerts, and training volume relative to your typical week.

High activity score with low readiness suggests incomplete recovery despite movement. Low score nudges NEAT without prescribing intervals.

Common questions

  • Does a high Oura activity score mean you recovered well?

Not necessarily—you can hit step goals while readiness is suppressed from poor sleep or illness. Always read activity beside readiness contributors.
