Asymmetry Training

Asymmetry training uses unilateral exercises to close meaningful left-right strength gaps that raise injury risk—not every minor bar tilt.

Asymmetry training addresses meaningful side-to-side gaps—single-leg RDLs, offset carries, split squats—when hops, strength tests, or pain show real imbalance. Small bar tilt on bilateral lifts is normal; chase gaps that change function.

Progress load on the weak side first, then match bilateral work.

Common questions

  • Should both sides lift identical weight?

Not always—let the weaker side set pace until tests even out within about ten percent on hops and strength checks.
