Ankle Mobility Drill
An ankle mobility drill improves dorsiflexion for safer squats and running. Short knee-over-toe work before leg sessions often unlocks depth and stride efficiency.
An ankle mobility drill restores dorsiflexion—the knee-over-toe wall test—so squats, lunges, and running stride stay efficient and knees take less compensation. Hold stretches briefly, then use controlled reps with band or elevation.
Two to three minutes pre-leg day is enough for many lifters.

How do you test ankle dorsiflexion?
Face a wall, drive knee forward without heel lift; measure finger width from wall to toes. Compare sides and retest after drills.
